VR for PKU

VR for PKU is a project conceived for my MA in Virtual Reality. The plan was to simulate the experiences of patients and take VR equipment to Parliament for MPs to access the VR experience using VR headsets such as Oculus Rift/Quest.
The project is a VR for Good project in support of the NSPKU’s efforts to have the treatment Kuvan made available for PKU patients on the NHS.

Discovery of the PKU Diet by Dr Horst Bickle

This 8mm documentary has been one of my inspirations for mkaing this VR project. I find it very emotive and upsetting but also very relevant in expressing the side-effects of high protein on PKU patients.
